I have a 1967 Mooney. It is an expense, but it's worth it. Family is spread out in the eastern US and nice to fly vs drive. Long distances, I actually spend less on fuel to fly vs drive.

It's a low wing, retractable gear. Fast and fuel efficient. I've never flown anything but single engines. Have my instrument rating but nothing more. Would love to fly over and take you for a ride!

Allie, I sometimes question just where peoples heads are at? Whether you are 20 or 50 the looks of your body has to do with two things your genes and you have your parents and grand parents to thank for that and how one takes care of them selves. Allie, I lost my 2nd wife and only son so I understand the questions and, for myself anyway, personal sense of fallibility that overwhelms one during such trying times. I have since remarried (for a good number of years now) and can tell you from personal experience that the wounds one suffers can scab over and eventually heal. For me, life stumbled along until I found my Little Miss Luscious and while I have healed, those memories and horrors of past years still do occasionally rear their ugly head. You too will eventually overcome them and build a new life that overshadows the past. The only advice I can offer is to not look too hard. Let it come to you lest you seek too quickly and reach for something that will be less than what you really need. As for myself, I'd given up looking when my girl came to me and instilled a new sense of life that I didn't even really realize I was missing. Good luck to you, my dear and I will hold a good thought for you on your quest.
